We would like to share an article we found on www.wat-arun.com about Wat Arun: "The Temple Of Dawn"
Wat Arun is one of the world's renowned iconic landmarks. At the side, a Buddhist temple has been present in many forms since the lat 14th century.
The temple derives its name from the Hindu God Aruna. The first glimmers of morning light reflect on the temple's surface, and give it a majestic appeal.
The main central spire was completed in 1851.
Please make sure to act with respect and reverence at all times, whenever you visit!
